Could eagles be trained to bring down illegal drones? According to Aircargo News (December 2016) Police in the Netherlands are already training 4 juvenile eagles with wingspans of up to 2.3 metres for the task.
Illegally operated drones can be a danger to commercial aircraft and shooting them down in crowded airspace could cause additional problems. For a reward of a piece of meat the eagles are the ideal solution.
Christmas is a busy time in the freight industry, but it is also a time to thank and hopefully reward your staff for their effort throughout the year. Christmas parties can be a great way to let your hair down and relax, and talk about things other than work.
This year we decided to hold our party in Central London, the venue and food were exceptional, but the service unfortunately was a disappointment. Luckily the Institute of Directors wine tasting at the Compleat Angler in Marlow 2 days before was a success on all levels. The restaurant is on the banks of the River Thames, the food and service were excellent and the wines from Connoisseur Estates were fantastic.
Both venues were in good locations and had good food, but one did not value their customers. In a restaurant the service can enhance or ruin a celebration. Poor service in freight companies may not be so obvious or the effects so immediate, but they can have long lasting consequences. Good service is not an option, it is a necessity and we strive to give the best service at all times.
We will take a few days break between Christmas and New Year and return refreshed and ready for the year ahead. We would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone who has used our site this year and look forward to welcoming you back next year.
