Platform Shipping Containers

Platform Containers are similar to Flat Rack Containers except they do not have any end walls. They are can take heavy loads usually large machinery and vehicles. They are usually 20 foot or 40 foot long. As there are no container walls adding strength to the platform, the floor is thicker to add additional strength, the maximum height of the cargo is reduced.

Advantages:

They can take extremely large and heavy equipment.

Disadvantages:

They have no sides or top so the cargo must be protected by a tarpaulin.
They cannot be stacked.
